Vision 100 wants to stimulate a new wave of evangelistic initiatives across Tasmania. We want to invest in people who have great ideas and the commitment to see them through.

Between now and December 31 2009, we are offering up to five grants of up to $1,000.00 to fund evangelistic projects that impress and excite us. You can be involved in one of two ways....

  1. Think and pray about the possibilities! If you come up with an idea worth investing in, email info@vision100.org with the details. If your initial proposal shows promise, we will follow it up and do our best to help you make it happen.
  2. Get excited, spread the word, and pray that this initiative will bear fruit! If you know a fellow Christian who you think would come up with something great, encourage them to get involved.

Two grants have already been accepted!

  1. BOOST is a semi-regular evangelistic event run by young Christians in Launceston which aims to reach the lost youth of the city. It has been granted funding for advertising and/or venue hire. Members hope that holding the event in a venue other than a church, and disseminating high quality invitations, will make the event more attractive to unbelievers.
  2. 11TH HOUR LAUNCESTON. A group of young Christians who attend CRC Launceston have started running an evangelistic event in local cafes, "11th Hour Launceston" members seek to show hospitality and form relationships, share the gospel and answer questions. The group applied for funding to assist with the costs of hospitality, getting speakers, and printing flyers and/or tracts.

FAQs

Q. What is the deadline?
A. The grants will be available until December 31 2009 or until five enterprises have been chosen.

Q. What happens if you like my idea?
A. We will ask for a budget, timeline, further details of the project's goals and how you plan to achieve them. We may also request letters of support and ask you to find a mature Christian who is willing to back your idea and act as a mentor.

Q. What is the catch?
A. We don't want your application, or our money, to gather dust - we want you to put this money to work now! Stick to your timeline and seek our consent if you wish to alter the original plan in any way. If your project does not reach completion, any unspent money must be returned to Vision 100.
